Apr. 26-28, 2006, ARJ21-700 Aircraft detail design review meeting was held in FAI (First Aircraft Institute of AVIC1, Shanghai).

The Aircraft Design Review Committee, organized by Commission of Science Technology and Industry for National Defense (COSTIND), and led by Mr. Gu Songfen, academician of both Chinese Academy of Science and Chinese Academy of Engineering , conducted an overall review of the entire aircraft design, especially for the detail design, manufacturing process feasibility, quality control and airworthiness of the aircraft. The review committee confirmed at the end of the design review that ARJ21-700 aircraft structure and system design meet the aircraft level configuration design requirements; the aircraft weight and lift/drag rate of the aircraft had been greatly improved; ARJ21-700 aircraft detail design phase had been completed, and the program can turn into the manufacture and test phase.
