Chinese Vice-premier Mr. Zeng Peiyan, received the representatives of ARJ21 suppliers
| ARJ21-700 roll out ceremony was held on 21st Dec. All ARJ21-700 partners, suppliers, customers and hundreds of guests were invited to attend the ceremony in Da Chang, as well as to pay a visit to the customer service center in Zizhu and the technical center in Da Chang. Roll out is a great milestone of the ARJ21 program, followed with the first fight, making the preliminary success of the ARJ21 Program. The Vice-premier of P.R.China, Mr. Zeng Peiyan, delivered an important speech on the ceremony. The ceremony was live broadcasting by CCTV.

171 | | During the ceremony, Kunpeng Airlines, signed up the purchase order of 100 shipsets of ARJ21-700. The ARJ21 sales figure now is add up to totally 171 shipsets. The marketing positioning of the ARJ21 is: Replacing existing turboprop feeder to provide airlines with higher comfort level; Developing new airline services through Hub extension to low-volume airports and New non-stop “point to point” service; Replacing larger jets to provide higher airline frequency; Other derivative versions (cargo/business versions) are being considered. ACAC is considering setting up sales branches in US and Europe to explore the international market.

The Chinese name of the ARJ21 Aircraft is “xiangfeng ”, which is quite an auspicious name, bearing all the hope and expectation of the Chinese People, this name is voted via internet nationwide by the Chinese people who are concerned about the ARJ21. Among all the votes which are more than 1 million, “xiangfeng” is the top 1 candidate won 180,000 votes. “xiangfeng ”means the soaring Phoenix. “xiang ” means flying, soaring, “xiang ” and “ xiang ”(which means auspicious)are homonymic pair in Chinese. “Feng ” is the lucky bird of Chinese people, which means auspicious and harmonious, be infused with rich Chinese national color.
Over 10 Pilots is receiving the pilots training now, the First Flight of ARJ21 is scheduled on 15th Mar, 2008.
